Busy Fortnight: Coromandel Trip

So, I have only posted a couple of blog entries over the last couple of weeks. This is because I have been crazy busy with work and my significant other came over from Australia for a visit. I haven't mentioned this on the blog before but I am currently in a long distance relationship, my boyfriend lives in Australia. So every few months he visits me or I visit him. Long distance relationships are hard, but ours also has its benefits as I truly believe the distance has strengthened our bond and has given us time to focus on other wonderful aspects of our lives.

While Craig was over we went to Coromandel for the long weekend. I truly believe Coromandel is one of the most beautiful regions of New Zealand and the locals are so welcoming and friendly. Here is a breakdown of our trip:

We stayed in a delightful holiday home on the outskirts of Coromandel town within walking distance of  the town centre, the jetty and the breathtaking Long Beach. We spent a large portion of the weekend just taking long walks from our cottage, even on the cloudy Sunday the scenery was breathtaking.

On the Saturday we journeyed to the tranquil and relaxing Rapaura Water Gardens. I discovered the gardens a year ago on a family road trip and fell in love with their outstanding grounds and wonderful service. We spent several hours just wandering the gardens and then enjoying lunch in their restaurant. Here is just a snapshot of the beauty we experienced.
Good tea, good food, amazing service and the atmosphere was so peaceful
