Scenes from the weekend: Walks, and New Favourites

This weekend was definitely packed with fun! I still can't believe how much I got done. Not only did I do a massive spring clean and makeover of my little apartment but I managed to socialise a bunch too. I love balancing busy weekends with quiet ones and lately its been a bit too quiet, so some excitement was lovely.

On Saturday I woke up bright and early to do the freedom climb, a charity walk which involved walking to and up the 5 central Auckland mountains to raise funds and awareness in the fight against human trafficking. This cause has always been close to my heart and so it was exciting to be able to raise some money while getting fresh air and exercise. Towards the end of the walk was tough but it was definitely made better with the signs of spring popping out with the lambs and daffodils.

Saturday evening was my dear friend Sophie's birthday celebrations. We went to the quaint and adorable Miss Clawdy which has the yummiest wild berry iced tea. It is by far my new favourite cocktail: its cute, its pink and its delicious.

I have more to share on my new favourite web series and movie but I will leave it at this tonight...
