Recipe: Turmeric Sweet Potato Chips

Sweet Potato (Kumara) is a marvelous food. I love using it as a healthy potato substitute in a wide range of dishes, one of these is chips. My housemate owns the cutest crinkle cutter which we all use to make our vegetables look prettier and more appealing (yes we are grown ups). I recently got some amazing organic kumara that was delicious, but somewhat un-aesthetically pleasing. I decided to make chips and pretty them up with the crinkle cutter and add some golden turmeric powder. They turned out delicious and super cute. Here is the recipe...

Ingredients (Serves 4):
3 Large Sweet Potatoes
1 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
Salt (to taste)
1 Tbsp Olive Oil

Preheat your oven to 200 degrees celsius. Slice the Sweet Potato finely with a crinkle cutter and lay pieces out in thin layers on a baking tray, ensuring they don't overlap. Sprinkle with salt, olive oil and turmeric. Place tray(s) in the oven for 20 minutes and enjoy with some garlicky hummus.

  1. Yum! We add turmeric to our roast vege all the time! Where is that crinkle cutter from as it makes the chips look super awesome! Ps. Found your blog through bloggersclub and we have the same last name! It's not common which made me look twice :)

    1. Tumeric is just amazing. The cutter is my housemates, and she got it as a gift, but most kitchen stores will sell them and there are plenty for sale online. Its awesome that we are last name buddies. I look forward to checking out your blog.
