Juice: Modified CABALA Juice

 

The above picture looks like my evenings as of late. Recently I went to a natural therapy fair in Auckland, and I was inspired by so many wonderful people, their ideas and their wisdom. I have many exciting things to share with you over the next few weeks but my first is juicing.

I have been diagnosed as dairy intolerant for several years now but very recently I have discovered I am also sensitive/intolerant to gluten. The testing process has been incredibly stressful and I have really needed to cleanse and nourish my body in a gentle way in order to help my digestive systems recovery.

One of the natural practitioners I talked to during the fair had a lot of wisdom and experience surrounding digestive health. He suggested I start using my juicer again and gave me some great juice combinations to try. One of them was the nourishing CABALA juice, which I have been breakfasting on and I have added my own twist of natural ginger root and high protein chia seeds.

I thought that having a large glass of freshly squeezed juice would not be filling enough for breakfast, but man was I wrong. All I need is this and a boiled egg and I am set till lunch time. This is working for me so much that I am planning to do a full juice cleanse next week. Wish me luck!
