The Pile #2

1) Fashion Pick: Ethnic Jewelry
I love Bohemian/Ethnic accessories because the pieces are often one of a kind and intricate. I am enjoying using interesting jewelry pieces to highlight otherwise simple outfits. Currently, my favourite jewelry items are Kashmiri painted bangles. They are such art pieces! It is also exciting to be supporting artists and craftsmen from poorer regions of the world. Shopping for ethnic style jewelry can be an experience in itself as the shops that sell these styles are generally quite unique and colourful.

2) Skirt: Cotton On Tube Skirt
I am a big fan of basics and block colour clothing. Beautifully coloured tube skirts can be dressed up with quirky tops or interesting jewelry into a fashion forward outfit, but they are also great for 'casualling' it. I got this skirt on sale (don't you love bargains!) recently. I went a size up because I wanted a slouchy rather than fitted look and was really happy with the look. It's super flattering and goes with so many different styles of top.

3) Magazine Pick: Nature & Health
I've just discovered the fascinating Nature & Health magazine. I really appreciate having a magazine to read that links two of my primary interests, health/fitness and environmental awareness. The November issue had some excellent nutritional articles and a section on natural remedies for headaches (no more panadol for me).

4) Fiction Pick: Emma, Jane Austen
This week I went back to an old favourite and an excellent classic. The reason I was inspired to re-read Emma is because I have been keenly enjoying this new modern take on Emma in a webseries/fictional blog format. I always enjoy the way Jane Austen keenly observed personalities and their consequent interactions; Subtly highlighting and satirizing them in her books.

5) Taste Pick: Healtheries Strawberry Pavlova Tea
Who.Ever.Invented.This.Is.A.Genius. A tea that tastes like a dessert. Need I say more. Nomsies.
