I love cleaning and looking after the house and its safe to say I have a definite homemaker side. Recently I have been trying to use more and more natural ingredients in my cleaning endeavours. This is a slow process I am still working on, because it takes a lot more effort to consciously decide to make your own cleaning products or buy all natural ones as appose to off the shelf supermarket brands.

Homemade air freshener smells so much better than from a aerosol can, it also lasts a lot longer. At the moment I have been simmering lemon peel, ground cloves, vanilla, sage and rosemary over the stove. The house smells beautiful!

| Homemade Kitchen/Surface Spray |
This week I made a big batch of general kitchen/surface spray. Its so easy to make and its all natural - yay, for no nasty chemicals! The ingredients are:
50% water
50% vinegar
1 Tbsp vanilla
orange essential oil
Now my house is lovely and clean and fresh. It really does smell like Christmas! Peace - Q.S.B.
