Healthy "Choc Chip Cookie Dough" Smoothie (DF (vegan), GF)

Grocery shopping always inspires me. My local organic supermarket is so fun and quirky, there is such a variety of unusual healthy foods along with the staples and old favourites. Every week I come home with a couple of new things, much to the amusement of my friends and flatmates. This week I decided to try cacao nibs (instead of powder) and some new varieties of seaweed. I haven't tried the seaweed yet but I used the cacao nibs in a cookie dough flavoured smoothie.

The smoothie turned out beautifully and its now going to be a new regular for me. Its also packed with protein, from almond butter and chia seeds and probiotics from the coconut yoghurt. Here are the ingredients:


Ingredients:
2 Banana
1/2 cup almond milk
1 1/2 tbsp coconut yoghurt (or greek yoghurt if thats what you prefer)
1 heaped dessert spoon of cacao nibs
1 heaped dessert spoon of chia seeds
1 teaspoon of honey (or agave/maple syrup for vegans)
1 diced medjool date
1 teaspoon of almond butter


Blend all the ingredients well and enjoy your indulgently flavoured healthy smoothie.
