So today was Christmas! and it was awesome. I celebrated with family and some friends and we feasted and exchanged some awesome presents. I am over the moon because I have the most amazing family who knows exactly what I like. I am now happily stocked with some amazing new super cute cooking utensils and gadgets, classical music from all my favourite composers and some beautiful jewelry and perfume. My family spoils me!
Here's what went down today...

My Grandmother brought over a beautiful christmas candle but we'd ran out of candle holders so my brother and I decided to hollow out a pear for it... and it looked awesome. It has given me some DIY ideas for paper mache pear candleholders. |

I never get sick of Christmas decorations. The house always feels so empty without them. |
Mum made this gorgeous Christmas tree made entirely out of fruit. This is why I love having Christmas in the Kiwi summer, when you've eaten till bursting point you can fill up with fruit! |
I made two lots of baked stuffed chicken breast: Apricot-Brie and Goats Cheese-Asparagus. They were a big crowd pleaser as some of our Christmas guests had special diet requirements and it was nice to give them something special that they could eat. I will be posting the recipes this week. |
I also made Vegetarian Tortellini Minestrone. Soup is a great way to start off the Christmas feasting and everyone loves Italian food. I shall be posting the recipe later in the week, it is so easy! |
Last but certainly not least: the Christmas steamed pudding. I was incredibly nervous making a plum pudding as it was my first time but it came out so delicious. I quite enjoy making steamed puddings, and they have such a beautiful texture. I have some ideas for a white chocolate, raspberry pudding for when I next entertain. |

So basically I had a marvelous Christmas full of family, fellowship and food. I will be posting a whole bunch of recipes in the next couple of weeks and more fun posts about my life and things I find funny. Happy Holidays!
