Over the summer I discovered this genuine little Cafe in my home town. It was so nice to have such a colourful, unique hang out spot so close to my home... and then I moved back to Aussie but, Hey, I'm back. So today I decided to check out the expansions (they have developed it) and have a snack.
OK so it is even better than it was before. Mottletop Espresso is now made up by two rooms and a rooftop space. They have real (loose leaf) tea and homemade food reminiscent of summer at the beach and lunches in the backyard. There are books everywhere, stacks of local handmade goods and notes and postcards from all around the world with slow, dreamy jazz oozing from the speakers. An old-ness and character which I really appreciate.
My croissant was perfection, yeah I understand that brie and ham croissants are the norm, yadda yadda, but this wasn't average! They had gone the extra mile by adding some beautiful pickles and relishes which brought the food to a whole new level. Basically, I am over the moon to have a favourite cafe closer than the city.
Peace and Love. Q.S.B.
