The journey that is me and this blog

You might have just discovered this blog or you might be wondering what is with the new name and the new look? So now might be the time to tell the story of my blog, and how it went from Quite Simply Batty to Tea & Sage.

I started blogging more seriously and regularly in the period between finishing university and having a job. This time was a period of self-discovery me, after three years of being a study-holic with an unhealthy lifestyle I was documenting my journey to a healthier diet, a greater understanding of myself and a greater understanding of the world around me.

About a year ago I moved back to New Zealand, my home-country, and started a full time job. This has been by far the best decision of my life and has led to a whole new level of self-expression. I have been able to fully embrace a creativity and wellness centred lifestyle while learning wonderful life lessons from working in a business setting. It has been a pleasure share my life (through mostly health and wellness topics and recipes) with you all.

At the beginning of this year I discovered not only was I dairy intolerant but also gluten intolerant. The knowledge of this has driven me to create more food alternatives that are healthy and tasty for those with limited dietary options: celiacs, vegans, vegetarians, lactose intolerant, etc. Encouraging others on a health centred journey and also just sharing the fun ups and downs of my life.

Its with this in mind that I have decided Quite Simply Batty no longer resonates with myself and the message of my blog. I have moved from a burnt out young woman on a road of self-understanding to a young professional passionate about health, life and love (and tea!). So I am very excited to launch my newer, brighter, better blog – Tea & Sage. I will still be sharing exciting new recipes that are healthy and intolerance friendly, I will still be offering my takes on different teas I love but I will also be adding in some fun new features like a series on living mindfully and conscientiously, and some extra surprises I am not ready to share just yet.

I hope you stay to share in the journey of Tea & Sage and my little blog can be an encouragement to you all.

Namaste and Enjoy. Amy.

  1. I just found your blog and I love this place! I have got a similar profil starting blogging about healthy recipes to suit my new food intolerance - me it is diabetes so low sugar, less gluten and lactose are also my new challenge in the kitchen. I can not wait to read more recipes from this blog. Carine from www.sweetashoney.co.nz
