Scenes from the weekend (and the week so far)

I have had a crazy few weeks leading up to last friday. On top of my usual busy life I was responsible for helping plan a huge work do complete with gorgeous venue, catering and entertainment. It was a great success but together with some accidental gluten ingestion, too many extracurriculars and not enough sleep I have been feeling really burnt out and in need of a good recoup.

On Saturday I had a delicious long lie in and then got a new hair style at the adorable and cozy dry & tea. They served perfectly steeped fragrant teas with mini cupcakes and the stylists were the perfect combination of skilled and friendly. I was definitely nervous to try out darker hair but I am so thrilled with the change, ombre is so fun and versatile to style.

On Sunday after church I enjoyed a fun afternoon out with one of my close friends. We shopped around for a while and then grabbed tea at one of my favourite cafes Casablanca. Their turkish apple tea is amazing, and highly addictive, perfect for this freezing winter weather.

The rest of the week has been incredibly lazy (aside from work). I have been enjoying restoring some energy with some TV show watching and letter writing. What are your favourite things to do when you are worn out?
